The First Detector School at IPM in Tehran is devoted to provide
deeper knowledge on the Detector physics and Technology for the
particle physics community in Iran. This school is an
opportunity to hear the latest achievement in the detector
science at the LHC. The scientific program will cover the
Tracking with Silicon strips and Pixel technologies and discuss
the features and the future of the Silicon detector upgrade
plans for the CMS detector.
The commissioning and the operation of detectors such as CMS and
ATLAS detectors will also be reviewed. The school will also
provide an in-depth introductory to Grid technologies and
applications at the LHC environment.
The school will consist of lectures in the morning and in the
afternoon. A social programme including an excursion around the
town will be available.
Conference fee:
There is
a 300/000 Rials conference fee
which covers the lunches
and coffee breaks during
the conference.
Accommodation
fee:
There is
a 100/000 Rials
accommodation fee
for every night in the
IPM guest house.
Registration
will be on Saturday, May 21st in the morning in
Niavaran building.
